Coventry are hopeful of signing goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel on a permanent deal from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old impressed during a loan spell at the Ricoh Arena towards the end of this season.
Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson insists the youngster wants to stay at the midlands club and all that remains is to agree a fee with the Premier League outfit.
"We want to sign him and he wants to come," Ranson told the Telegraph. "He likes the manager (Chris Coleman) and he likes his style of play.
"We have drawn up a package which, in principle, he is happy with and we just have to agree a fee with Manchester City now.
"He is on Premier League wages but we think he has a great career ahead of him and we think we can agree a package."
