Blackpool v Watford May 06 2008

Blackpool strike duo Ben Burgess and Andy Morrell are competing for a striking berth in the final game of the season at home to Watford.

With Paul Dickov's loan spell from Manchester City over, Seasiders boss Simon Grayson will choose between Burgess and Morrell as partner to Steve McPhee.

Midfielder Gary Taylor-Fletcher, whose heavily pregnant wife has yet to give birth, is expected to be available.

The Seasiders lie just two points above the relegation zone and need a point against the Hornets to be mathematically certain of staying up because of their far superior goal difference.

Grayson will not tell his out-of-contract players their fate until after the game.

Six of Grayson's squad are out of contract and several more are waiting to hear if the club wishes to take up an option at the end of their current deals.

Aidy Boothroyd has witnessed his Watford side capitulate at the top of the league to throw away an eight-point lead and now need a win at Bloomfield Road to ensure a place in the play-offs.

The Hornets have scored just five goals in the last 10 games and after Tamas Priskin and Darius Henderson failed to muster a single effort between them in the dire 1-0 defeat to Scunthorpe last weekend, Boothroyd may bring in Ellington.

Goalkeeper Richard Lee also had a poor afternoon against the Iron so Mart Poom could be in line for a recall.

Scottish midfielder Gareth Williams continued his comeback in the reserves this week and could come into contention for any play-offs after a year out with a knee injury.

Kick-off is at 2pm.
