Foxes hope to pounce for Mpenza March 26 2008
Emile Mpenza's agent has confirmed that Leicester have expressed an interest in signing the Manchester City striker on loan.
The 29-year-old Belgian international, who will be out of contract in the summer, is currently out of favour and considering his options, one of which is a spell at Ian Holloway's Championship strugglers.
"I have already been called several times by the people of Leicester," Mpenza's agent Rachid Tajmot told Belgian newspaper Het Laatste.
"But we are looking at all the options."
Mpenza has played only three times since the New Year, last featuring as a substitute in the 3-1 defeat by Arsenal at Eastlands in February.
