Ramos: We must finish teams off

Ramos: We must finish teams off May 02 2008

Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos has demanded a killer instinct against Reading to put an end to the run of 1-1 draws.

Spurs have taken the lead in three of their last four matches, then last week they were in control until Bolton took the lead.

All of the games ended in the same scoreline, with Ramos' men failing to finish off their opponents.

"The fact we've created all these chances is the main thing, it's not so good that we are not taking them," the Spaniard said.

"The area of finishing games off is an area we have to look at, maybe we just haven't got that killer instinct in front of goal, possibly we just need to be more careful when we are taking our chances.

"The thing we are doing right is creating opportunities but maybe we just need that quality or finesse in front of goal."

The north Londoners have secured European football for next season so have little to play for, while the Royals are just a point above the Premier League relegation zone.

Steve Coppell's side were defeated 6-4 at White Hart Lane earlier in the campaign and Ramos predicts another open match.

He added: "Reading are fighting for their lives and if they don't win their final home game they will find life difficult for them on the final game of the season.

"I expect a more aggressive, attacking game than against Bolton last week."
