Dimitar Berbatov's agent admits that they have twice discussed a new deal with Tottenham without success.
The Bulgaria international's future at White Hart Lane continues to be the subject of much debate, with a number of leading European side's keen on snapping him up.
Berbatov has admitted that he is more than happy with life at Spurs, while head coach Juande Ramos considers any interest in the hitman as a compliment.
But with more than two years left on his current deal with the club, Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev admits his client's future will be decided in the coming months.
Dantchev told the Evening Standard: "His future will be decided in the next couple of months.
"We have twice given up talks about Berbatov's new contract and this is due to the fact that Tottenham are unwilling to fix Berbatov's transfer price.
"He is 27-years old and he needs to win trophies. It is time he was transferred to a club that regularly plays in the Champions League.
"There are seven to eight clubs in Europe interested and we know them well."
However, the north London outfit have denied claims that their have been any complications with regards to contract negotiations.
A club spokesman said: "Dimitar still has two years on his contract with an option for another two years and is on one of the best packages at the club."
