Jeers may force Eto'o to quit

Jeers may force Eto'o to quit May 13 2008

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o may be on the way out of the Nou Camp after reacting angrily to jeers from the club's supporters.

The Cameroon international was accused by Barca fans of deliberately picking up a caution so that he could miss the highly-anticipated match against Real Madrid last week.

Eto'o was then booed during the clash with Real Mallorca on Sunday, prompting him to lash out repeatedly at the ball after scoring the Catalans' second goal.

The news will come as a boost to Tottenham, who have been strongly linked with the African star in recent weeks.

The board of directors at Barca are believed to be working tirelessly to try and stop Eto'o from leaving, but this latest event may have pushed him too far.
