Tottenham head coach Juande Ramos has already made up his mind over which players he wants to keep at White Hart Lane this summer.
Ramos has been assessing his squad since their Carling Cup triumph, which effectively ended their campaign by sealing UEFA Cup football for next season.
His players may have been talking about performing for their futures, but the Spaniard said: "After five or six months here I know the squad really well and what they are capable of.
"I'm not going to discover now anything new about a group of players I have been with for a long time and know perfectly well."
It means out-of-favour players may have to do something extraordinary to catch Ramos' eye in the last four games of the season, starting with the trip to Wigan on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the 53-year-old could look at changing Spurs' captaincy next term, depending on Ledley King's progress returning from his knee injury.
King was skipper at Wembley in February, one of 10 games he will play this campaign, and lifted the trophy with Robbie Keane, who has taken the armband when the first-choice captain has been unavailable.
Ramos has appeared to have an unconventional view of who leads the side out - he dropped Paul Robinson this season then gave him the armband on his first game back.
King has been recovering from surgery last summer and last week admitted he does not know when he will be able to play two games in a week again, which may be a factor if Ramos decides to change his captain.
"We'll have to see what state he is in next season," said Ramos. "We're going to have to wait for the diagnosis of the doctors.
"We'll have to wait and see if he is here next season. We don't know what the squad is going to be like, and we'll make that decision then."
