Sheffield Wednesday have signed Portsmouth winger Franck Songo'o on a month-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old Frenchman adds to Owls boss Brian Laws' options on the flanks as Wade Small struggles with a hip injury and Jermaine Johnson is suspended for four matches after his midweek sending-off against West Brom.
Songo'o, who has made three appearances for Harry Redknapp's Barclays Premier League side, impressed Laws during a loan spell with Crystal Palace earlier this season and should be available for the visit of QPR on Saturday, subject to paperwork being completed.
Laws said: "He has an abundance of talent and pace and I hope he will be an excellent acquisition for us, starting on Saturday against QPR.
"Franck can play both sides and that is definitely a bonus for us because he is adaptable.
"He played against us at Crystal Palace earlier in the season and showed then that he has a real turn of pace and can be creative. I also saw him in a reserve team game and he really caught my eye.
"When Jermaine Johnson was sent off it left us short on the ground for wingers so I made an immediate phone call to Harry Redknapp and I am glad that he has allowed Franck to come here and put himself in the shop window.
"Hopefully his arrival will give the rest of the players a real lift as well."
