Schwarzer looks to Bundesliga

Schwarzer looks to Bundesliga April 24 2008

Reported Bayern Munich target Mark Schwarzer has admitted he would fancy bringing down the curtain on his career in the Bundesliga.

The Middlesbrough goalkeeper will be out of contract in the summer and with the club seemingly unwilling to offer him the new two-year deal he is demanding, Schwarzer may look elsewhere.

Jurgen Klinsmann, who will take over the reins at the Allianz Arena during the off-season, is believed to be eyeing a move for the Australian international with German veteran Oliver Kahn set to retire at the end of this campaign.

And Schwarzer, who spent a season in Germany with Kaiserslautern in the mid-nineties, would have no problem returning to the country and would be happy to see out his career in the Bundesliga after spending 11 years at the Riverside Stadium.

The 35-year-old said in The Sun: "It would be nice to finish my career in the Bundesliga."
