Chelsea ace Joe Cole is determined to make the final Sunday of the Premier League season a real 'squeaky bum' time for Sir Alex Ferguson.
The phrase was once famously used by the Manchester United manager to describe the title run-in and Cole believes that victory over Newcastle on Monday afternoon will take the fight for the domestic crown right down to the wire.
The England international is also determined to get back to his best against a rejuvenated Toon side in order to make Ferguson sweat all the way to the finish line.
He explained: "There have been some big games recently and it is a final push for me.
"I have played a lot of football and my last few games I haven't been at my best - but I want to come back to my best in this game and get the points.
"We had a bad result up at Newcastle last season. We lost Michael Ballack injured as well so it wasn't a good day.
"This year we will keep going and we want to take it to the last day. If we can win and take it to the last Sunday then it is squeaky bum time as the famous man once said."
Avram Grant's team have taken more points on their travels this season than either Arsenal or the Red Devils.
The Blues have amassed a total of 39 points on the road compared with the Gunners' 33 and United's 32.
Cole continued: "We have good resilience and we find it easy to play when teams come out at us.
"Hopefully with the position Newcastle are in, they will come at us and it will be a high-scoring game and another three points for us.
"In front of their own fans they are going to want to play and there are a couple of old Man United players in there who are going want to do their old mates some favours - but we just have to keep going and get the job done."
