Bentley reveals Rovers bust-up

Bentley reveals Rovers bust-up March 17 2008

Blackburn midfielder David Bentley has revealed the tension following West Ham's equaliser continued during the half-time interval.

Rovers enjoyed the lead for most of the first half at Upton Park courtesy of a Roque Santa Cruz header on 19 minutes.

However, controversy followed on the 40-minute mark after Dean Ashton spun around Christopher Samba to cancel out the Paraguayan's effort.

David Dunn confronted team-mate Samba immediately after the equaliser and was seemingly unhappy with the Congo centre-back's work ethic in the build-up to the goal.

The duo had to be forced apart by team-mates and Bentley admitted the bust-up continued during the half-time break.

The England international told The Mirror: "It did all kick off. You win and lose as a team. It carried on in the dressing room but it was all constructive.

"We didn't want it to happen again in the second half so we told him (Samba) not to do it."
