Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry hailed his side's "exceptional" performance in coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 with European rivals Everton.
Villa kept alive their hopes of winning the race for UEFA Cup qualification when John Carew headed his 13th goal of the season to secure a draw.
The Toffees were ahead after 56 minutes through Phil Neville's deflected effort, with Gabriel Agbonlahor equalising with 10 minutes left. Joseph Yobo had David Moyes' side ahead again before Carew's last-ditch leveller.
The gap between the Merseysiders and the midlands outfit is still three points with two games remaining but Villa's run-in looks easier and Barry knew the value of the point.
"It was exactly the sort of game we expected, tight early on," he told Sky Sports 1.
"Once the first goal went in we knew we had to press, we needed at least a draw and had to keep pressing Everton.
"It's the sort of character we have shown all season. Coming back once is very good, twice is exceptional.
"There are a couple of teams behind us too, who would have liked a draw today. It's going to go all the way to the wire and it will be tight."
Everton midfielder Lee Carsley produced a commanding performance and admitted the end result was disappointing.
"It was a tough game, there's a lot to play for at this stage with two games left," he said.
"We knew Villa have been on a hell of a roll lately and knew it would be difficult. When we take the lead at home we usually see the game out but we'll have to have a look at the goals.
"We were disappointed with the way we conceded."
