Gretna have released injured Uruguayan playmaker Fabian Yantorno after admitting they could not afford to pay for his rehabilitation.
The 25-year-old has been sidelined since January 19 when he sustained a knee ligament injury in the victory over Falkirk.
But with the club in administration, Yantorno has been moved on and could be followed by Aurelien Collin and Mickael Buscher, who have asked to leave Raydale Park.
Gretna caretaker boss Mick Wadsworth said: "Fabian needs specialist rehabilitation which we can't provide.
"It was his and his agent's wish that he could be released so he could go elsewhere for treatment. We don't have the finance or the facilities to offer the care he needs."
Wadsworth admitted the prospects of Yantorno returning next season are "next to zero" and predicted he could join a bigger club.
Yantorno was Gretna's star man in the first half of the season, and hit four goals for the Borderers.
Defender Collin and striker Buscher are also set to quit the crisis-hit club, who are bottom of the Scottish Premier League, even though the transfer window is closed.
The young French pair will seek dispensation from FIFA to join new clubs.
Wadsworth told the club's official website: "They have exercised the right to try and find other clubs, whether FIFA allow them to do so I don't know - that's the chance they're prepared to take.
"I'm very disappointed to a degree because Gretna gave them a great chance for nothing but their contracts will probably be cancelled on Tuesday."
