Motherwell skipper Paul Quinn completes his two-match suspension by missing the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Dundee United.
The full-back is also nursing a hip injury but that will not stop him playing against Hibernian the following weekend.
Mark McGhee has no other injury worries for the Tannadice clash.
Dundee United manager Craig Levein can recall Danny Grainger, Eric Odhiambo, Jim O'Brien and Danny Swanson to his squad after they missed out against Rangers in last weekend's CIS Cup final.
The Tannadice boss will also have to decide whether to stick with the players who ran Rangers so close at Hampden or freshen things up for the race towards Europe.
