Norwich 2 Burnley 0 April 05 2008

Veteran striker Dion Dublin and Ched Evans were on target as Norwich beat Burnley 2-0 to dent the Clarets play-off hopes at Carrow Road.

Norwich were ahead with barely a minute played as Dublin's overhead pass allowed Jamie Cureton to spring the offside trap. His cutback was blocked but Darren Huckerby latched on to the loose ball and crossed from the right for Dublin to steer the ball past Brian Jensen from close range.

Just before the half-hour mark, Joey Gudjonsson's 25-yard drive was parried past the post by David Marshall.

Cureton then fired wide from six yards with the goal at his mercy.

Norwich looked the most threatening in the second half, but on 67 minutes Marshall kept out Kyle Lafferty's 12-yard volley for the visitors.

Evans then scored in the 90th minute from 12 yards after good link-up play with the impressive Huckerby.
