Ten-man Reading earned a valuable point in their battle against relegation with a 0-0 draw against UEFA-Cup chasing Blackburn.
Reading made a good start with Zurab Khizanishvili clearing Dave Kitson's header away, while Stephen Hunt poked just wide.
Marcus Hahnemann then saved Jason Roberts' header, before the keeper tipped Morten Gamst Pedersen's shot over.
Thing livened up slightly after the break when Liam Rosenior's cross was volleyed over by Hunt, while Hahnemann tipped David Bentley's volley over the bar.
Reading were reduced to 10 men when Marek Matejovsky was sent off for two bookable offences after 73 minutes.
And Khizanishvili almost gave Rovers the lead when he beat the offside trap to head goalwards, but Hahnemann saved.
Andre Bikey's towering header was cleared off the line late on as Reading finished the stronger.
