Real Madrid's Champions League hopes were extinguished on Wednesday night as Roma completed a classic smash-and-grab raid.
The Italians led 2-1 from the first leg - and despite a goalless first half, the hosts' task was made more difficult when Pepe was sent off for a challenge on the edge of his penalty area in the 71st minute.
Two minutes later Rodrigo Taddei put the Giallorossi further ahead in the tie with a superb header.
Although he appeared to be in an offside position, Raul then gave Real hope soon afterwards with a calm right-footed finish past Doni to level the score on the night.
However, Mirko Vucinic's 90th-minute goal made it 4-2 on aggregate to end Madrid's interest in Europe.
