A dramatic last-minute strike by Scott McDonald gave Celtic a 2-1 victory over AC Milan in the Champions League on a fiery night in Glasgow.
Hoops captain Stephen McManus put the Bhoys in front in the 62nd minute when he tapped in from close range but six minutes later referee Markus Merk felt that Lee Naylor had wrestled a bit too roughly with Milan skipper Massimo Ambrosini inside the penalty area and Kaka stepped up to send the spot-kick crashing into the back of the net.
With only three seconds remaining at the end of the match, McDonald pounced when Milan keeper Dida spilled the ball following Gary Caldwell's drive from the edge of the box and the three points looked to be secure.
But the drama was not over.
A delighted Hoops fan could not contain his joy and made his way onto the pitch, brushing by Dida - who, after pursuing the culprit for a couple of strides collapsed to the ground in a Lehmanesque fashion and required lengthy attention.
After being stretchered from the field Dida was replaced by Zeljko Kalac as the game finished in controversial circumstances.
Celtic's joy at beating the defending champions will be tempered by the certain knowledge that they will face disciplinary action for failing to control their supporters, with a possible points deduction a distinct possibility.
