Liam Miller's dramatic late equaliser earned Sunderland a 2-2 draw with fierce North-East rivals Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
Roy Keane's Black Cats took an early lead but found themselves 2-1 down as the final whistle loomed - and substitute Miller secured a point with a dipping volley.
The Wearsiders broke the deadlock on two minutes when Michael Chopra's shot hit Grant Leadbitter, who controlled the ball and calmly beat Mark Schwarzer.
It was 1-1 on 15 minutes, though, when former Sunderland star Julio Arca headed home a right-wing cross from Gary O'Neil.
Arca limped off injured but it was O'Neil who was wreaking havoc, having several shots saved by Craig Gordon and firing a volley over the crossbar.
Stewart Downing rewarded Boro's dominance on 67 minutes with a swerving strike - but Miller came off the bench to snatch an equaliser.
