Fernando Torres' injury-time equaliser salvaged a fortunate point for Liverpool to prevent Tottenham recording a win in a 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Spurs almost took the lead after just two minutes when Gareth Bale curled a 20-yard free-kick inches wide.
Andriy Voronin then saw a 20-yard shot saved by Paul Robinson, but after 12 minutes the Ukrainian was more successful when he fired home after
Robinson had failed to hold Steven Gerrard's deflected free-kick.
Spurs almost levelled twice through Robbie Keane before Gerrard hit the base of the post, but the visitors were level on the stroke of half-time when Dimitar Bebatov flicked on and Keane fired in.
The duo combined again after the break to fire Spurs ahead, with Keane bagging his second.
But two minutes into injury time Torres rose to head in Steve Finnan's cross.
