Emanuel Villa's late header failed to save Derby as their relegation fate was finally sealed after a draw with Fulham at Pride Park.
The Rams grabbed the lead on nine minutes. Dean Leacock's 25-yard drive did not look to be troubling Kasey Keller until the ball ricocheted off Villa and into the net past the helpless American.
Fulham hit back with a deserved equaliser on 24 minutes. Simon Davies' cross from the right was met with a fine glancing header by Kamara which gave Carroll no chance.
The Cottagers thought they had snatched the points thanks to Leacock's own goal (78) but Derby hit back two minutes later, thanks to Villa's header.
The point ultimately does little good for either side, with Derby's relegation confirmed and Fulham now nine points from safety after missing the opportunity to pick up a rare away win.
