Chelsea 2 Porto 1 (3-2 agg) March 06 2007

Goals from Arjen Robben and Michael Ballack helped Chelsea beat Porto 2-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.

Ricardo Quaresma's opener sent the Blues in 1-0 down at the break - but a gift from Porto keeper Helton allowed Robben to equalise and Ballack's 78th-minute volley saw Chelsea safely through to the quarter-finals at Stamford Bridge.

Quaresma drew first blood on 15 minutes. A sweet passing move saw the Portugese winger sneak in behind Ricardo Carvalho before slipping the ball under the on-rushing Petr Cech.

Elements in the Stamford Bridge crowd booed their team off the field at half-time, as the prospect of exiting the competition appeared to loom large.

Whatever Jose Mourinho said at half time must've worked, as the Blues started the second half like a team possessed.

Chelsea drew level when Robben picked up the ball 20 yards from goal and hit a low drive which was fumbled horribly by Helton, the ball looping up and over the Porto keeper and into the net.

The winner came when Andriy Shevchenko headed into the path of Ballack, who volleyed home from 10 yards
