Chelsea eased their way into the FA Cup quarter-finals as Championship outfit Norwich were brushed aside 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.

But the scoreline was somewhat harsh on the Championship outfit, who had by far the better of the first half and were unlucky not to be ahead when Dickson Etuhu's effort struck the post.

Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when, after Frank Lampard's initial shot was blocked, Shaun Wright-Phillips despatched a swerving shot into the roof of the net.

And it was 2-0 six minutes into the restart when Didier Drogba fired home his 26th of the season when, with his back to goal, he swivelled and volleyed home.

Chelsea added their third in the closing stages when good work by Andriy Shevchenko helped Michael Essien tap in, while the £30million striker sealed their place in the last eight with a header.
