Liverpool won at Bolton in the Premier League on Sunday, the Reds' first victory at the Reebok Stadium since September 2002.
Jussi Jaaskelainen set the Reds on their way. The Bolton goalkeeper's attempt to save a speculative Steven Gerrard shot after 12 minutes only resulted in the ball hitting the Finn in the face and then spinning behind him over the goalline.
Bolton were undone again on the hour mark when Ryan Babel netted his eighth goal of the campaign.
On 75 minutes, Fabio Aurelio's stunning control and volley extended the Reds' lead and although Trotters substitute Tamir Cohen powerfully headed in a consolation goal from a dubiously-awarded corner, the three points went to the visitors.
Liverpool return to fourth place ahed of Everton's clash with Portsmouth, while Bolton stay 17th, above Reading only on goal difference.
