Birmingham 4 Blackburn 1 May 11 2008

Birmingham fans turned on chairman David Gold and co-owner David

Sullivan after their side's relegation - despite a 4-1 win over Blackburn.

Birmingham went ahead on 31 minutes when David Murphy's low shot looked to be covered by Brad Friedel but he allowed the ball to go underneath his body and in.

But Morten Gamst Pedersen levelled for Rovers on 49 minutes. Damien Johnson was dispossessed by Johan Vogel and he released Jason Roberts who had two fierce drives blocked by Maik Taylor but the ball broke to Pedersen, who made no mistake.

Blues sub Cameron Jerome missed from close range but made amends on 73 minutes when he converted a centre from Sebastian Larsson.

City fans started chanting 'the board must go' as it became clear Blues were going down.

Jerome struck with seconds remaining and Fabrice Muamba made it 4-1 in injury-time.
