Nicklas Bendtner's last-gasp goal spared Philippe Senderos' blushes as Arsenal scraped a fortunate 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the Emirates.
Theo Walcott's angled drive produced a marvellous save from Scott Carson, before Senderos fired wide after the Villa goalkeeper had spilled a corner.
But Gabriel Agbonlahor's low cross on the left was turned into his own goal by the Swiss defender after 27 minutes.
And the visitors could have doubled their lead when Shaun Maloney's 25-yard shot was pushed onto the post by Manuel Almunia.
Matin O'Neill's side made a bright start to the second half when Ashley Young saw penalty claims waved away, while he drew a fine save from Almunia.
But just as Villa were dreaming of victory, Emmanuel Adebayor headed across goal for Bentdner to fire home from eight yards and keep the Gunners a point clear at the top.
