Arsenal swept into the group stages of the UEFA Champions League with a comfortable 2-0 win over Sparta Prague at the Emirates Stadium.

New signing Eduardo da Silva rounded off the victory, while Cesc Fabregas and Tomas Rosicky were also on target as the Gunners completed a 5-0 aggregate win over the Czech side.

Arsene Wenger's men did most of the hard work in the first leg and were never threatened by their visitors on Wednesday night after Rosicky converted a Theo Walcott cross in the seventh minute.

Marek Kulic and Jan Rezek wasted half-chances for the visitors, before substitute Fabregas added a second for Arsenal with a crisp volley from outside the box after some handy work by Eduardo on the left wing.

Provider then turned scorer in the 89th minute when the Brazilian steered in a cross to complete the rout, and ensure the Gunners join Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool in Thursday's draw for the Champions League group stages.
