Fulham's hopes of pulling away from the Premier League danger zone were dashed as rock-bottom Derby secured a goalless draw at Craven Cottage.

It was the Rams who made the best start with Eddie Lewis and Kenny Miller seeing efforts pushed away by Antti Niemi, while Seol Ki-Hyeon wasted good openings for the Cottagers.

A fine save by Stephen Bywater denied Danny Murphy before a flying save by Niemi prevented Aaron Hughes from scoring an embarrassing own goal.

Fulham then had Paul Konchesky red carded for elbowing Craig Fagan seconds before the break.

The Rams had some great chances to win it late on when Andy Griffin slipped in Miller, but Niemi got fingertips to his effort, while the same player was marginally off target moments after David Healy had missed a good chance for the hosts.
