Emmanuel Adebayor hit a hat-trick as Arsenal ruthlessly tore hapless Derby apart in a 5-0 mauling at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners took the lead in the 10th minute when Abou Diaby side-stepped two challenges on the edge of the area before firing a rising drive into the top corner.
Adebayor made it 2-0 in the 25th minute when he latched on to a pass from Cesc Fabregas and ran clear of the Rams defence before rounding Stephen Bywater and slotting home.
Arsene Wenger's side extended their advantage five minutes after the break when Matt Oakley pulled Eduardo Da Silva back in the box and Adebayor stepped up to score his second of the game from the spot.
Fabregas hit Arsenal's fourth on 70 minutes with a right-footed effort into the top corner and Adebayor completed his hat-trick with 11 minutes to go to seal County's fate.
