Getafe 3 Bayern Munich 3 (agg 4-4) April 10 2008

Luca Toni's last-minute header gave Bayern Munich a dramatic 3-3 draw and an away-goals win over 10-man Getafe in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals.

Toni stuck twice in the last six minutes of extra-time to seal an epic victory for the Bundesliga giants, who were heading out of the competition in normal time before Franck Ribery popped up in the last minute to cancel Cosmin Contra's opener.

The Spaniards had been reduced to 10 men as early as the sixth minute when Ruben De la Red was dismissed for bringing down Miroslav Klose on the edge of the area.

But the hosts put on a superb display and goals from Francisco Javier Casquero and Braulio in extra-time appeared to have sealed the win before Toni scored with his dramatic late brace.

Michael Laudrup's side took the lead two minutes before half-time. Contra charged down the right, cut inside and launched an unstoppable drive from just inside the area which beat Oliver Kahn and rifled into the roof of the net.

Bayern threw men forward in the final stages but Getafe defended bravely until the very last minute of the game, when Ribery volleyed a right-footed shot past Roberto Abbondanzieri and into the corner of the net from the edge of the box.

The hosts looked crestfallen, but struck twice in two minutes of extra-time to stun the Germans.

Casquero fired an unstoppable drive in off a post in the first minute of the added period and Braulio beat Kahn with a close-range strike following Mario Cotelo's cross a minute later.

Bayern again threw men forward and set up a grandstand finale when Toni pulled a goal back in the 114th minute.

The Italian striker then headed home a stunning equaliser in the dying seconds from Lukas Podolski's right-wing cross to break Getafe hearts and seal a sensational win for the Bavarians.
