Gary Megson was made to pay for fielding an under-strength side as Bolton crashed out of the UEFA Cup after losing 1-0 to Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese giants were an unremarkable team, and it will be a major surprise if they go on to win the competition.

Bruno Pereirinha sealed their place in the last eight with an 85th-minute strike.
Ali Al Habsi had parried a Liedson strike minutes earlier but he was beaten by a fine left-foot strike into the top right-hand corner.
Despite the defeat, Megson's focus is firmly on Sunday's clash with relegation rivals Wigan.
